Greasing interval turned into a preventive plan
Here, the calculator is free and the result is gone when you close the page. In Reglova, it is attached to the work order on the right machine: you find it again at the next breakdown, and on audit day.
The CMMS software comparison, our gaps included- Attached to the work order with its inputs: the server recalculates it, it stays verifiable.
- On the technician's phone, even without a network.
- In the machine's history, for the next breakdown.
- The result becomes a checklist step of the work order.
- The calculated interval creates a preventive maintenance plan.
- The asset's nameplate data pre-fills the calculation.

When to calculate a bearing greasing interval
01
Set up a greasing routine for motors and plummer blocks that have none.
02
Set an automatic lubricator to the right discharge period.
03
Shorten the interval of a hot, damp or dusty bearing rather than greasing the whole plant at the same pace.
Good to know
This is a starting estimate: adjust it with the grease manufacturer's advice, the bearing temperature or ultrasound monitoring. Too much grease heats a bearing as much as too little.
Relubrication interval formula and correction factors
The calculator estimates a bearing's relubrication interval with the formula published by STLE (Leugner), corrected by six factors: temperature, contamination, moisture, vibration, shaft position and bearing type. With the outside diameter and width, it also gives the quantity per top-up (0.005·D·B, SKF's formula) and, for an automatic lubricator, the feed rate and cartridge life.

What the calculator flags
- Starting estimate: adjust it with the grease maker's advice, ultrasound or temperature.
- Under 100 rpm: the formula is meant for medium and high speeds.
- High speed factor n·dm: ask the grease manufacturer.
