Bearing life kept with the machine's history
Here, the calculator is free and the result is gone when you close the page. In Reglova, it is attached to the work order on the right machine: you find it again at the next breakdown, and on audit day.
The CMMS software comparison, our gaps included- Attached to the work order with its inputs: the server recalculates it, it stays verifiable.
- On the technician's phone, even without a network.
- In the machine's history, for the next breakdown.
- The asset's nameplate data pre-fills the calculation.

When to check an L10 bearing life
01
Check that a replacement bearing will last the required time before ordering it.
02
Compare two arrangements, ball or roller, for the same load.
03
Explain repeated failures: an actual load above the original design load shortens life quickly.
Good to know
The basic L10 life ignores lubrication and contamination (aISO = 1). For a ball bearing, life varies with the cube of C/P: 10% more load means about 25% less life.
L10 life formula and equivalent load
The basic rating life L10 is the number of revolutions that 90% of a group of identical bearings reach or exceed. It follows from the basic dynamic load rating C in the catalogue and the equivalent load P. The calculator gives it in million revolutions and in hours, for a single load, a combined radial and axial load or a cycle of four loads, and adjusts it to a higher reliability (factor a1).
Formula · Reference documents
L10 = (C/P)^p, p = 3 (ball) or 10/3 (roller) ; L10h = 10⁶/(60·n)·L10 ; Lnm = a1·L10 ; P = X·Fr + Y·Fa ; Pm = (Σ Pi^p·qi / Σ qi)^(1/p)

What the calculator flags
- Lubrication and contamination are ignored (aISO = 1).
- Load above half of C: the formula is no longer reliable.
- Very light load: risk of rolling element skidding.
- f0·Fa/C0 outside the table: value clamped.
- Time shares do not add up to 100%: they are scaled to 100%.
